If you are planning to visit countries outside of the UK, or have just returned, remember that there are infections and diseases which can affect you.  You should plan ahead for any required vaccinations.

We have various treatments available as prevention and treatment to ailments common with travellers.

Altitude Sickness

Altitude Sickness or Mountain Sickness, occurs when you ascend too quickly.  The reduced oxygen levels can make you feel sick.

Jet Lag

If you find yourself travelling through various time-zones, then you may experience Jet Lag.  It is a temporary condition which causes tiredness, headaches and insomnia.

Traveller’s Diarrhoea

This is a type of Diarrhoea specifically contracted from foreign counties.  It could be due to contaminated food or poor hygiene.

Malaria

Malaria is a disease carried by mosquitoes, it cam cause severe symptoms and even death.  It is transmitted via mosquito bites.

Travel Sickness

Travel Sickness or Motion Sickness, causes nausea and vomiting when experiencing movements via travel.  It can be caused by plane, boat, car etc.

Dehydration

Especially common in warmer climates, due to the loss of water through sweating.

Bites & Stings

For most bites and stings you will experience no serious health conditions, however they can be very uncomfortable and itchy.
